Also in attendance were many units of Devon & Cornwall Police and Westcountry Ambulance Service. The RNLI Inshore Lifeboats from Port Issac and Bude. Helicopters attended from RAF Chivenor [2 ], RAF St.Mawgan, RNAS Culdrose [2], Coastguard Poole, Devon & Cornwall Police, Cornwall Air Ambulance and Devon Air Ambulance. It is also thought a private helicopter from Castle Air also attended the scene.

During the search operations which commenced on Tuesday 17 August Special Police Search dogs attended from South Yorkshire & Oxfordshire.
